Your dentist: Dr. Sandhya Agrawal Pauranik

BDS (dental surgeon), with more than 30 years of practice. Registered with the Madhya Pradesh State Dental Council and a member of the Indian Dental Association. As listed on Practo and Justdial.

Aishwarya is a women-owned clinic (Google). Reviewers often call the doctor “mam” and talk about how gentle she is with fillings, crowns and tooth removal.

Tooth pain and root canal

Pain often means decay has reached the soft centre of the tooth. A root canal cleans out that infected centre and seals it, so you keep your own tooth instead of losing it.

A check-up

A look at every tooth and your gums, so small problems are caught before they hurt. Good once or twice a year, or whenever something feels different.

Cleaning and stain removal

Scaling removes tartar, the hard yellow crust that brushing can’t shift, plus tea and tobacco stains. It helps gums that bleed or smell.

A broken tooth or a cavity: fillings

A filling closes a hole or a chipped edge with tooth-coloured material, so food stops getting stuck and the tooth stops hurting when you eat something cold or sweet.

Crowns, bridges and implants

A crown is a cap that covers a weak or broken tooth. A bridge fills a gap by holding a false tooth between two caps. An implant is a small post fixed in the jaw that holds one new tooth. Ceramic crowns come up most often in patients’ reviews.

Missing teeth: dentures

Dentures are false teeth you can take out at night, either a full set or a partial one that fills a few gaps. They are made to fit your mouth over a few visits.

Taking out a tooth

When a tooth is too broken or loose to save, or a wisdom tooth is stuck and hurting, it can be removed. The area is numbed first, so you feel pressure, not pain.

Teeth whitening

A treatment that lightens yellowed teeth by a few shades. Best after a cleaning, and it works on natural teeth, not on caps or fillings.

Crooked or gapped teeth

Braces slowly move teeth into line over months. Reviewers mention treatment for irregular teeth here; ask what would suit your teeth and age.

Children’s teeth

Milk teeth matter: they hold space for the adult teeth. Bring your child for a first check-up, or sooner if they complain of pain or you see black spots.

Before & after care

Simple things to do before your visit and in the days after. General guidance only: always follow what your dentist tells you.

Before

  • Eat a light meal first; you won’t want to chew for a few hours afterwards.
  • Tell the doctor about every medicine you take, especially blood thinners, and about diabetes or high blood pressure.
  • Bring any old X-rays or prescriptions.

After

  • Bite gently on the cotton pad for as long as you’re told, usually 30 to 45 minutes.
  • For the first day, don’t spit hard, rinse, smoke or drink through a straw. It protects the clot that helps healing.
  • Eat soft, cool food (curd, khichdi, dal) and chew on the other side.
  • Call the clinic if bleeding doesn’t slow down, or pain and swelling get worse after two days.

Questions patients ask

Tap a question to see the clinic’s answer.

Use 090986 19197. It is the number on the clinic’s Google listing and on Justdial.

No. Google lists Sunday as closed, and Wednesday as mornings only. Other days have a morning and an evening sitting.

Calling or sending a request first is the easiest way to avoid waiting. If you are in pain, call and tell them.

It depends on what your teeth need, so fees aren’t listed here. Ask the doctor after the check-up; she will explain the options. Many reviewers mention reasonable charges.

The area is numbed first, so most people feel pressure rather than pain. Some soreness afterwards is normal for a few days. One patient wrote that they “didn’t feel any pain”.

Your request reaches the clinic by email. For anything urgent, call 090986 19197 rather than waiting.
